Rachel Amato

Rachel Amato is an accomplished professional in the culinary and food service sectors, currently serving as the Director of Food Services for Virginia Beach City Public Schools since November 2019, after holding various roles including Assistant Director of Food Services, District Chef, and Culinary Development Chef Assistant within the same organization. Additionally, Rachel Amato has been an Adjunct Professor at The Art Institutes since September 2019 and previously led the Hospitality Program as Faculty at Stratford University from March 2015 to September 2020. Rachel Amato also contributed as a Visiting Professor at Florida International University from May 2010 to May 2014. Academically, Rachel Amato earned a Master of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management from Florida International University and a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Management from The Culinary Institute of America.
