Emily Koth is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant working at Virginia Eye Institute in the Retina department. Prior to this, Emily owned Emily Koth Photography where Emily managed all aspects of the business and grew it into a successful venture. Emily has also worked as a Certified Paraoptometric at THE EYE PLACE OPTOMETRY, P.C., a Marketing Intern at AgilQuest, a Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, a Marketing Intern at the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, and a Media Team Intern at Journey Christian Church. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech.

Virginia Eye Institute (VEI) is a comprehensive eye care organization providing a wide range of ophthalmology, optometry, and optical services in 8 locations across Central Virginia. VEI offers an exceptional range of ophthalmic care to Richmond, VA residents including, cornea and external diseases, glaucoma, cataract surgery, retina, oculoplastics, pediatrics, refractive surgery (LASIK), and general ophthalmology. All optometrists and ophthalmologists at VEI are board-certified and many are fellowship-trained. VEI eyewear locations provide board-certified opticians and contact lens fitters. VEI also owns and operates an out-patient Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). VEI’s optical shops are ranked as one of the nation’s “50 Best Optical Shops”. VEI also has an Aesthetic Center in Short Pump performing remarkable cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries by our fellowship-trained specialists.
