John Farmer is an Assistant Attorney General at the Virginia Office of Attorney General, a position held since August 2019. Previously, John served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Eastern District of New York from August 2018 to August 2019 and completed a legal internship at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in the summer of 2017. John gained clinical experience as a Student Clinician with the Community Health Law Partnership at the University of Georgia School of Law and participated as a Summer Fellow at the Wilbanks CEASE Clinic in 2016. Additionally, John worked as a Campus Staff Member with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA at Guilford College and UNC Chapel Hill from July 2008 to June 2015. John holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.), cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, earned between 2015 and 2018, and a Bachelor of Arts in Greek and Religion from the University of Richmond, completed in 2007.
