Conaway Haskins

Conaway Haskins has extensive work experience in various roles related to entrepreneurial ecosystems, economic development, and government affairs. Currently, Conaway holds the position of Vice President of Entrepreneurial Ecosystems at VIPC | Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation. Prior to this, Conaway served as the Director of Entrepreneurial Ecosystems at the same organization.

Conaway also has experience in academia, having worked as an Associate Director at Virginia Tech's Center for Food Systems and Community Transformation, as well as a State Economic Development Specialist at Virginia Cooperative Extension.

In addition, Conaway has held executive roles, including Executive Director of the Virginia Community Economic Network and Executive Director of Government & External Affairs at Virginia State University.

Conaway's career has also involved working in the non-profit sector, including roles as a Project Director at the Council on Foundations and a Senior Program Officer at The Cameron Foundation.

Earlier in Conaway's career, they gained research experience as a Research Associate at The Aspen Institute and a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Conaway Haskins earned a Master of Regional Planning degree in Economic Development from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002. Prior to that, Haskins completed a B.A. with Honors & Distinction in Government & Politics from George Mason University in 1999. In addition to their formal education, Haskins obtained certifications in Advanced Angel Investing from the Angel Capital Association in 2023, and in Venture Capital University from the National Venture Capital Association in 2022.
