Julia Wight

Julia Wight has over 20 years of experience in the mass spectrometry industry. Julia is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Virscidian, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to that, they owned their own company, J Wight LLC, where they utilized their extensive experience in product marketing, product management, content writing, and sales. Before starting their own company, they worked at Agilent Technologies as a Mass Spectrometry Specialist - Technical Sales for 13 years, achieving over 100% of sales targets on average and leading a team to create sales and demo strategies in a high-growth market. Julia also worked at Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex as a Senior Product Manager from 2002 to 2009 and at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Marketing Specialist from 2000 to 2002.

Julia Wight obtained their B.S. degree in Chemistry from Penn State University in 1995, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Julia completed their doctoral studies in Analytical Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1995 to 2000, resulting in the attainment of their Ph.D. degree.
