Patrick Mancuso

Lead Software Engineer at Virtru

Patrick Mancuso has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Patrick started their career at IBM in 1984, where they developed a syntax-oriented graphical program editor. Patrick then moved on to Lotus Development in 1988, where they focused on developing the memory allocation subsystem for LEGO, a cross-platform application development foundation.

In 1992, Mancuso joined Cabletron Systems as a Software Engineer, where they led a team in developing Java-based network management applications. Patrick also implemented an extensible data proxy server to facilitate data requests from various sources and protocols.

Returning to IBM in 1998, Mancuso took on the role of Senior Software Engineer and worked on various projects. Notably, they led a team in developing a Blockchain-based food safety application suite, allowing companies and consumers to trace the origin of individual food items. Patrick also served as the team lead for the NSF dev group, responsible for coordinating training and environment setup for a new team in China.

In 2017, Mancuso joined PhishMe, which later rebranded as COFENSE. As a Software Engineer III, they played a key role in designing the architecture and implementing the initial code for a suite of next-generation software products.

Finally, in 2019, Mancuso joined Virtru as a Lead Software Engineer, utilizing their expertise to contribute to the development of new software offerings.

Overall, Patrick Mancuso has demonstrated strong technical skills and leadership abilities throughout their career in the software engineering industry.

Patrick Mancuso completed graduate courses in Computer Science at Northeastern University from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Penn State University, attending from 1980 to 1984.
