Sonia Brown

Sonia Brown is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in regulatory policy and public affairs, currently serving as Vice President at Visa since November 2015. Previously, Sonia held the position of Non Executive Director at Cornwall Insight until March 2020 and was a member of the Scottish Government Task Force for Consumers and Markets from November 2017 to December 2019. Sonia also contributed as Chair and Vice Chair of The Regulatory Policy Institute from October 2016 to September 2019. Earlier in the career, Sonia worked at Ofwat as Chief Regulation Officer and Senior Director of Markets and Economics from March 2012 to November 2015, and served as Chief Economist at Monitor from January 2008 to February 2012. Additionally, Sonia held the role of Director of European Strategy at Ofgem in 2006-2007.
