Yong Gao

Yong Gao is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in high-performance data and AI platform development within the fintech and payment technology sectors. Currently serving as VP Engineering and Distinguished Engineer at Visa, Yong Gao focuses on building scalable and secure data platforms. Previously, roles included Director of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence at Verizon Labs, where efforts centered on big data analytics and machine learning, and co-founder of Yahoo's Beijing R&D Center, contributing to its strategic vision and rapid growth. Yong Gao also holds a board director position at the Silicon Valley Tsinghua Network, supporting a large community of Tsinghua alumni. Educational credentials include a BE in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, alongside advanced studies at Duke University and the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
