Anderson Nascimento

Anderson Nascimento is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and academia, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Security and Privacy Research at Visa since July 2023. Prior to this role, Anderson held the position of Associate Professor at the University of Washington from July 2017 to July 2023 and worked as a Research Scientist at Meta between January 2021 and July 2022. Anderson's academic career includes positions as Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Tacoma and Professor Adjunto at Universidade de Brasília. Earlier experience includes cryptographic research at NTT and a cooperative role at Nortel Networks. Anderson holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from The University of Tokyo and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Universidade de Brasília.
