Ping Zhu

Ping Zhu, PhD, currently serves as Principal Machine Learning Engineer and Chief Systems Architect at Visa, where leadership is provided to software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers in developing the Machine Learning and Generative AI Platforms that support Visa's essential operations. Previously, at Palo Alto Networks, Ping built a stream processing platform to handle massive data volumes for real-time security applications. At LinkedIn, contributions included the development of products aimed at improving user productivity, such as an A/B testing platform and a company insights product, along with significant enhancements to job-related features leading to increased engagement. Earlier experience encompasses roles at Intuit, ShareThis, CalmSea Inc., and a visiting scholar position at UCLA focused on compiler efficiency for medical imaging. Ping holds a PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, along with both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University.
