Chris Bjugstad

Chris Bjugstad is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and architecture. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Software Engineering at Visana Health, Chris has previously held pivotal roles such as VP of Engineering at both Blackwell Security, Inc. and Nexben, where significant advancements in payment and benefits platforms were achieved. Notable achievements include the development of a serverless payments platform at Nexben, and impactful technology strategy leadership at Icario as Chief Architect. Chris has also contributed to the technology direction of various organizations, including Spok, Praeses, Jingit, WEX, Medtronic, and CSM Corporation, demonstrating a strong background in cloud technologies, agile methodologies, and software development. Chris holds a BS in Management Information Systems and related fields from North Dakota State University.
