Frank Buonarota

Frank Buonarota has a wealth of experience in software engineering and system administration. From 2022 to present, they have been a Senior Back End Engineer at Vise. From 2018 to 2022, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg LP. From 2012 to 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at SMBC Capital Markets, where they developed and maintained back office financial systems written in C, worked directly with users and business stakeholders to gather requirements for projects, and provided hands on production support and maintenance of both new software post implementation and legacy software. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Research Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology, where they analyzed and implemented secure two party computation protocols in experimental frameworks TASTY and Fairplay, developed a prototype web app using the Python Django Web Framework and matplotlib, and wrote C++ code to automatically generate Fairplay programs using loop unrolling techniques. From 2010 to 2011, they were a System Administrator Intern at AAMCO Transmissions, where they managed the Windows Active directory on a LDAP server for an enterprise, deployed Windows servers hosting enterprise-wide services, and performed general IT support for desktop users comprising of updating both hardware and software and running maintenance routines to increase desktop performance.
