Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of manufacturing sugar, alcoholic spirits by distillation, including ethanol, blending and bottling of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL), and generation of power. In the process of sugar manufacturing, the Company produces by-products, such as molasses and bagasse. The Company uses these by-products as raw materials to produce ethanol or IMFL and to generate power. The Company's co-generation unit has an installed capacity of over 30 megawatts and generates approximately 30 megawatts, of which approximately seven megawatts is used for captive consumption. In addition, the Company also distills rectified spirit for manufacturing industrial ethanol, and supplies ethanol for blending with motor spirit or petrol to oil marketing companies. The Company's manufacturing facilities for sugar, distillation of alcoholic spirits and power generation are located at Bellad Bagewadi, Karnataka.
