Bert Claes

Bert Claes has a diverse and extensive work history in the field of supply chain management. Bert is currently serving as the Group Supply Chain Director at Vision Healthcare NV since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Owner of Bolt Management b.v. since May 2014.

Bert also had a role at BOLT management where they served as a Senior Supply Chain Management Consultant and Interim Manager from April 2019 to July 2020.

From November 2015 to March 2019, Bert held the position of VP Logistics at Delhaize Belgium, where they were responsible for the logistics department's profits and losses, warehousing, and over 2,000 orders per day.

Before that, Bert was the Managing Director at Transport Michiels Bvba from June 2014 to October 2015. Bert was responsible for the company's daily performance, customer profitability, and implementing a robust TMS system.

Bert gained valuable experience at Kuehne + Nagel, where they worked as the Director Contract Logistic from January 2011 to May 2014 and as the Operations Manager Kempen from June 2010 to December 2010. Bert was in charge of the profit and loss of the department and administered multiple companies.

Bert started their career at Danone, where they served in various roles such as Supply Chain Director, Purchase Manager, Supply Chain Project Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Logistics Trainee from 1990 to 2010.

Bert Claes attended Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen from 1987 to 1989, studying Industrieel management / Industrial engineering and management. Bert did not earn a degree during this time.
