Angie Pappas has a diverse range of work experience, spanning various roles and industries. Angie began their career as an Intern/Freelance reporter at Appeal-Democrat in 2002. From there, they worked as a Designer at Albuquerque Journal for a year before joining The Sacramento Bee as an Editor/writer and designer in 2005. In 2008, Angie became the Director of Communications at the California Restaurant Association, where they developed and executed communications and marketing plans. Angie then joined Visit California in 2014 as a Communications Manager, responsible for developing and executing communications strategies and managing content delivery. Angie has since held several leadership positions at Visit California, including Director of Corporate Communications, Director of Public Relations, and currently, as the Associate Vice President of External Affairs & Media Relations.

Angie Pappas completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Leadership Studies from Whitworth University from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they pursued a degree in Communications from the same university, although the exact dates and field of study for this degree are not provided.
