Polly Phelan-Flachman, CDME has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Polly started their career as a District Manager at AMERICAN BUILDING MAINTENANCE in November 1998 and worked there until July 1999. Polly then joined PIP Printing & Marketing as a Sales Manager from July 1999 to March 2002. In March 2002, Polly became the Vice President & Director of Business Development at Visit Spokane, where they stayed until December 2012. From December 2012 to January 2015, they worked as the Membership Sales Manager at Visit Phoenix and then moved on to become the Director of Member Relations & Visitor Experience until July 2022. Most recently, Polly held the position of Vice President of Community Engagement at Visit Phoenix from July 2022 until the present.
Polly Phelan-Flachman, CDME has pursued education in various fields over the years. In 1987 to 1989, they attended the Community Colleges of Spokane, where they studied Liberal Arts. Later, from 1993 to 1995, they enrolled in Dale Carnegie Training, focusing on Sales and Leadership. In 1995 to 1997, Polly pursued further education at Landmark, specializing in Leadership. Lastly, from 2008 to 2010, they took Certified Destination Management Executive Courses at Purdue University to enhance their knowledge in Destination Marketing.

Visit Phoenix is a non-profit organization that promotes the Greater Phoenix community to a global audience of travelers and books conventions into the Phoenix Convention Center and area hotels and resorts. Visit Phoenix cultivates and maintains relationships with convention and meeting planners, journalists and influencers, travel agents and tour operators. We produce marketing and brand campaigns promoting leisure travel and meetings, coordinate site visits, conduct media tours and maintain the official tourism website for Greater Phoenix. In partnership with our more than 1,000 member businesses, Visit Phoenix brings business to Greater Phoenix that would not otherwise come—from leisure visitors to group meetings to popular sports events. Through this, Greater Phoenix can compete in today’s globalized, networked world for its share of the world’s consumers, businesses, investment, capital, respect, and attention.
