Vinod also won the prestigious "Product of the Year" award while working on an Internet Telephony VoIP product based on SIP protocol in New Jersey (USA), and the "Knight of the Town Award" from General Electric (GE) Information Services while working in Maryland (USA).

Most recently, Vinod has been awarded the CIO100 2021 Award by International Data Group (IDG), the IDC Industry ICONIC Innovation Award 2021, the CIO1000 APAC Award 2021, and the BTAwards21 (Mint-TechCircle Business Transformation) Award.

Vinod Bhat has a Master of Technology from the University of Hyderabad in Computer and Information Sciences, General from 1991 to 1992, a Master of Science from the University of Kashmir in Electronics from 1987 to 1989, and is certified in Project Management from the Project Management Institute and Quality Assurance from the Quality Assurance Institute.
