Junayo He

Junayo Junayo is a Ph.D. candidate and teaching assistant at Utrecht University since July 2021, concurrently serving as a contributing photographer for Visual China Group since May 2023. Previously, Junayo worked as an external consultant for the Beijing Community Research Center from July 2021 to April 2023, and as a part-time research manager there from April 2020 to May 2021. Additionally, Junayo held the position of urban analyst at UrbanXYZ between April 2019 and May 2021 and completed an internship as a planner at the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design from November 2018 to April 2019. Junayo's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Geography and Spatial Planning from Utrecht University (2021-2025), a Master of Science in Urban Design and International Planning from The University of Manchester (2017-2018), and a Bachelor of Science in Human Geography and Urban-rural Planning from Southwest University (2013-2017).
