Scientist II - Process Development at Vital Biosciences

Kais Kugasia is an experienced scientist specializing in process development, currently serving as Scientist II at Vital Bio since March 2022, where contributions focus on enhancing nanoparticle-based fluorescent immunomagnetic assays through Quality by Design principles. Prior roles include Research Technologist at the University of Toronto in Dr. Shana Kelley's lab, developing high-throughput CRISPR screens and creating an immunosorbent assay system, as well as a Research Assistant and Laboratory Technician at the University of Guelph, where work involved gene editing in zebrafish models and laboratory support. Additional experience includes R&D at Xagenic Inc. for molecular diagnostic platforms and tutoring biotechnology students, complemented by formal education with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Guelph and an Advanced Diploma in Biotechnology from Seneca Polytechnic.
