Huynh Phuong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public health and tobacco control. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor for Tobacco Control at Vital Strategies since October 2023, Huynh previously held the same title at the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease from March 2019 to September 2023. Prior roles include Programme Officer at UNAIDS from June 2011 to June 2018, Team Leader for Gender, HIV and Governance at the Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment from December 2009 to May 2011, and Managing Director and founding member of iSEE from August 2008 to July 2009. Additional experience includes positions at UNAIDS as Community Participation Programme Officer and as National Project Coordinator for the International Labor Organization's initiative to expand employment opportunities for women. Huynh Phuong holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, completed in 2006.
