Amal Al-Hakimi

Amal is the Program Manager, Afghanistan Crisis at Vital Voices. She will assist the GNRE team in Albania to provide support to the remaining Vital Voices-sponsored Afghans awaiting permanent resettlement. Amal is a development professional with over 12 years of experience in the field of civil society strengthening, women empowerment, advocacy & human rights, democracy building, and humanitarian assistance in developing countries with a particular focus on the Middle East and North Africa region. Amal’s approach and experience is to assist in developing local partnerships for capacity building and continuous improvement with a particular focus on women and youth along with the most valuable populations. Her end result is to create the ultimate goal of an enduring impact – empowering every community to build true self-reliance and resiliency.
