Lance K.

Lance K. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Lance currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at VitroLabs Inc, a role they started in September 2022. Prior to this, Lance was the Founder and Chief Science Officer at Cana Technologies from June 2019 to September 2022. At Cana, they focused on developing technology to create beverages using analytics and food-grade ingredients.

Before Cana, Lance served as the Vice President of Technology at The Production Board from September 2018 to July 2019. Lance also held the position of Vice President of R&D at Ripple Foods, where they played a vital role in launching alternative dairy products from December 2014 to October 2018.

Additionally, Lance worked at Amyris, starting as a Scientist from January 2007 to July 2011 and later becoming a Product Manager from August 2011 to December 2014. At Amyris, they led teams in developing analytical tools and chemical manufacturing processes for cosmetic ingredients.

Lance's career began in the US Navy, where they served in Nuclear Power Operations from January 1990 to January 1996.

Lance K. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington between 1997 and 1999. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 2006.
