Rupam Jain

Rupam Jain has a diverse range of work experience in the field of journalism and writing. Rupam is currently working as a Public Relations Writer at Vivifi India since August 2021. Prior to this, Rupam served as an Executive Editor for VANTAGE, a lifestyle magazine by Karvy Private Wealth, starting from November 2016. In this role, they were responsible for various tasks such as ideation, content contribution, distribution, editing, and overseeing design layouts.

Before joining Karvy Private Wealth, Rupam worked as a Freelance Journalist and Writer, where they conducted video interviews for iDreamSports and contributed articles for The News Minute. Additionally, they assisted with content creation for a lifestyle magazine and app. Rupam also gained experience as an Assistant Editor at WOW! Hyderabad Magazine from April 2016 to July 2016. In this role, they had overall editorial responsibility, coordinated story development, oversaw cover design, and ensured timely publication.

Rupam's earlier work experience includes serving as a Principal Correspondent at Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group) from October 2009 to December 2015. During this time, they generated daily story ideas, produced breaking news, managed edition planning, trained juniors, and wrote for Hyderabad Times online, achieving national exposure. Prior to that, Rupam worked as a Senior Copy Editor at Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd in 2008, where they ideated, filed, covered sports events, and obtained exclusive stories and interviews.

Rupam's career in journalism began as a Staff Reporter at The Statesman from May 2005 to January 2008. In this role, they covered Howrah district, filed regular and exclusive stories, developed contacts, and undertook investigative reporting. Their early professional experience includes working as a Trainee Journalist at The Asian Age from May 2004 to May 2005, where they learned the basics of newspaper functioning, covered assigned events, and developed story ideas.

Rupam completed their Higher Secondary education in Arts from Loreto House, Kolkata between 1996 and 1998.
