Jonathon Wright

Jonathon Wright's work experience begins in 2014 when they were the Director of Digital Engineering and R&D Cognitive Engineering at Hitachi Consulting (formerly Celerant Consulting). Jonathon focused on using digitization and technology to improve operational processes and enhance customer engagement. From 2016 to 2017, Jonathon worked at CA Technologies as the Chief Technology Evangelist and Director of Product Management. Jonathon was responsible for the development of Model-Based Testing solutions and collaborated with industry giants to solve complex delivery challenges.

In 2017, Jonathon co-founded Cognitive Services and served as the Chief Technology Officer. Jonathon helped organizations deliver digital platforms using emerging technologies and provided digital services to build and deliver products. Jonathon worked at Cognitive Services until 2021.

Additionally, Jonathon held various committee and advisory positions. Jonathon was a Committee Member at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT since 2020. Jonathon also served as a member of the European AI Alliance from 2018 onwards, where they contributed to AI ethics guidelines and made policy recommendations on AI-related challenges.

Jonathon further expanded their involvement in the technology community as the President of Vivit Worldwide since 2018. Vivit is a global organization providing knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities for IT professionals.

In 2019, Jonathon started hosting The QA Lead podcast, which explores quality assurance approaches in software development. Jonathon also served as a Quality Assurance Advisor at PathCheck Foundation from 2020 to 2022, where they contributed to the development of technology to fight the spread of COVID-19.

Most recently, Jonathon joined Eggplant in 2021 as the Chief Technologist and Head of R&D Labs. Eggplant is a software testing and monitoring company serving global enterprise customers.

Jonathon Wright attended Nottingham University Business School from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Systems with a focus on High Performance Computing. Jonathon also holds additional certifications such as Certified Product Consultant in GH Tester by Greenhat, Certified Product Consultant in WinRunner by Mercury Interactive, ISEB Foundation Certified, and Most Valued Person (MVP) in Application Lifecycle Management by Microsoft, Axe 4 by Odin, and Test Studio by Telerik.
