Mai Tran

Mai Tran has gained extensive experience in the field of UI/UX design and application engineering. Mai is currently working as a Team Lead for UX at Vivun, a leading provider of PreSales software. In this role, Mai is responsible for driving growth and maximizing technical selling efforts through efficient scaling and de-risking of deals.

Prior to their current position, Mai worked at Lumel as a UI/UX Application Engineer, where they led a team of 5 UX designers across 3 cross-functional product teams. Mai was responsible for monitoring tasks, educating domain knowledge, and setting best practices to ensure conceptually sound and visually consistent designs. Mai also played a key role in driving the design vision and defining product requirements by collaborating with various stakeholders.

Before Lumel, Mai worked at Visual BI Solutions, an Atos Company. As a UI/UX Application Engineer, they designed end-to-end experiences for PowerBI apps such as Inforiver Matrix and xViz. Mai also created wireframes and prototypes in Adobe XD, iterating based on stakeholders and usability testing feedback. Mai played a crucial role in maintaining design consistency among a team of designers by creating and managing the company's design system and custom icons library.

Mai's early career included a role as a Student Frontend Developer at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they implemented the Multicultural Center Website and worked on HTML email campaigns. Mai also gained experience as a Software QA Intern at Berkley Specialty Underwriting Managers, where they created and performed validation test cases for an insurance policy management application.

Mai Tran completed their Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma in Chinese Studies from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, Mai Tran obtained a certification in Building Prototypes with JavaScript and Node.js from Microsoft in December 2019.
