Adam Barnhard

Adam Barnhard has over 16 years of work experience, starting in 2009 at Sprint Nextel as a Billing Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for record keeping, billing adjustments, and pricing updates. Adam proposed a new workflow and made changes to automation tools, resulting in a 15-minute time savings for error-correction transactions.

In 2013, Adam worked at CIG Insurance as a Marketing Assistant, where they assisted account executives with underwriting and policy submissions. Adam also provided general office support and compiled custom reports for underwriters. Later that year, they became the Digital Marketing Manager, responsible for designing and executing the company's digital marketing strategy. Adam optimized the performance of an online embedded insurance quote form by coding a JavaScript library to track customer abandonment issues.

In 2014, Adam worked as a Software & Marketing Consultant at Big Ridge Home, defining marketing strategy and collaborating on product development. Adam established an Etsy storefront and a Shopify e-commerce site.

From 2015 to 2017, Adam held multiple roles. At iQuantifi, Inc., they worked as a Software Developer In Test. Then, at Digital Reasoning, they were a Software Engineer, building enterprise applications using Rails and various UI frameworks. Adam also partnered with Thorn to develop an anti-human trafficking tool called Spotlight and built an annotation tool using AngularJS and Electron.

In 2017, Adam joined Jurist Vantage as a Software & Marketing Consultant, where they designed and built a full-stack dashboard application to improve a law firm's case management system. Adam also worked at Decision Source as a Software Engineer, building an ad hoc dashboarding tool for the construction industry.

From 2018 to 2021, Adam worked at Intrepid by VitalSource as a Software Engineer. Adam contributed to building and maintaining a platform for collaborative learning experiences using various technologies such as Play, Backbone/Marionette, React, ElasticSearch, and Mongo. Adam also audited the accessibility of the application and updated the UI for WCAG 2.0 compliance.

In 2021, Adam joined VIZIO as a Senior Software Engineer, where they currently work.

Adam Barnhard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The University of Kansas. Additionally, they have pursued further education in Computer Software Engineering at Nashville Software School. In 2012, they obtained an Associate in Risk Management certification from The Institutes.
