Vadim Obideiko has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Vadim started their career at the Russian Academy of Sciences as a Senior Staff Scientist from September 1993 to October 1999. Following that, they joined Terayon Communication Systems as a Senior DSP Software Engineer from November 1999 to July 2003. During their time at Terayon, they worked on various projects, including a Cable Modem VoIP extension project and a PSTN-VoIP Media Gateway project.

In 2003, Vadim joined Alarity Inc as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked from August 2003 to May 2004. Vadim then moved to Motorola Solutions, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer from June 2004 to January 2023. At Motorola, Vadim worked on multiple projects, including the iDEN Base Transceiver Station (BTS) project and the WAVE Push-To-Talk (PTT) project. Vadim'sresponsibilities involved developing platform-agnostic PTT SDK, optimizing vocoders, and creating tools for decoding control and audio streams.

Currently, Vadim is employed at VIZIO as a Senior Software Engineer, a role they started in January 2023.

Vadim Obideiko completed their undergraduate education at St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University from 1987 to 1993. Vadim obtained a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Electrical Engineering/Optoelectronics Engineering during this period. Following their master's degree, Vadim pursued further education at St. Petersburg State Technological University. From 1994 to 1999, they completed their Ph.D. in Engineering with a focus on Non-parametric Signals Classification.
