Martin Tomas

Martin Tomas has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Martin is currently working at Vizzuality as a Software Engineer since March 2022. Previously, they worked at PrimeHammer as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2020 to March 2022.

Before that, Martin Tomas worked at JchSoft s.r.o. as a Software Developer from November 2017 to March 2020. Their responsibilities included the development and maintenance of the delivery system for restaurants and the development of a system for secure bike parking.

Martin also worked as a Software Developer at the Institute of Computer Science, Masaryk University from May 2015 to June 2017. Here, they focused on tasks such as optimizing R scripts for meteo-predictions and customizing a biobank application for use by Faculty Hospital staff.

In addition, Martin Tomas has experience as a Software Engineer at Czech Globe-Global Change Research Centre from May 2015 to April 2016. Martin also worked at Czech National Grid Organization as Technical Support of Research Team from September 2013 to February 2015, where they were responsible for installing new software and maintaining existing software.

Lastly, Martin Tomas worked as a Software Developer at Recetox from September 2013 to February 2015, and as a Web Editor at Masaryk University from July 2013 to June 2014.

Martin Tomas completed their Master's degree, Mgr., in Applied Informatics from Masaryk University Brno from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Informatics from the Technical University of Liberec from 2009 to 2012. In addition, they have additional certifications in Ruby on Rails from TestDome, CCNA 1, CCNA 2, ECDL, and FCE.
