Kris Luyten is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as a Full Professor at Hasselt University since March 2005. Throughout this tenure, Kris has held various positions from Assistant Professor to Senior Researcher, contributing significantly to the field of computer science. In addition, Kris is the Principal Investigator for the Flanders AI Research Program and acts as the Deputy Managing Director at the Expertise Centre for Digital Media. Former roles include Core Lab Manager at Flanders Make and Technical Lead for the iDiscover project, focusing on IT in Cultural Heritage.
