Devesh Naidu

Devesh Naidu is an experienced data science professional with a strong background in finance and quantitative analysis. Currently serving as the Head of Big Data & AI (Acting) at Vodacom since June 2021, Devesh has held various roles including Principal Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Nedbank and a Senior Consultant at KPMG South Africa, primarily focused on financial risk management. Devesh began a career at Nedbank as a Quantitative Analyst, contributing to risk monitoring and reporting. Early in the career, Devesh worked as a Junior Consultant at SADL Consulting Services. Devesh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Cape Town, a CFA from the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, and a qualification in Data Science for Professionals from the University of the Witwatersrand. Additionally, Devesh completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Financial Management Services at the University of Cape Town and has a strong academic foundation from Westville Boys' High School.
