Deepak Baran

Deepak Baran has over 17 years of experience in the financial technology sector, currently serving as the Head of Financial Technology at Vodafone Fiji since April 2014, where responsibilities include overseeing strategic financial technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance. Prior to this role, Deepak held the position of Manager - Digital Payments Systems and Smart Solutions at Vodafone, focusing on digital payments strategy, compliance, and innovative payment solutions integration. Deepak's career began as a Senior Engineer - Consumer Applications at Vodafone, contributing to mobile money systems and value-added services. Additionally, experience includes working as an HR Software Programmer at Maxumise (Fiji) Limited. Deepak holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern Queensland and a Master's in Computing Science and Information Systems from the University of the South Pacific.
