Philip Cooper has a long and varied work experience. Philip began their career in 1996 as a Flight Student for the United States Air Force. Philip went on to serve in various roles, including Squadron Commander, Director of Operations, Executive Officer, Operational Test Flight Commander, Flight Safety Officer, and Flight Safety Officer Rescue Pilot. Philip also served as a Commander and Professor of Aerospace Studies, Group Commander and Air Advisor, and Deputy Group Commander, where they directed operations for three helicopter squadrons in Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota. In addition, they were a Masters Student twice during their time with the Air Force. Philip is currently employed as a Commercial Pilot for Volato, a position they have held since 2022.

Philip Cooper has an extensive educational history, beginning with a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Computer Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they completed in 1996. Philip then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Religion and Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University, which they completed in 2008. Following this, they attended the USAF Air Command and Staff College, where they earned a degree in Military Art and Science in 2010. In 2016, they completed a Strategic Studies degree from the USAF Air War College. Most recently, they earned a Master's Certificate in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they completed in 2022.
