Lara Schilken

Lara Schilken has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lara is currently working as a Category Manager at VOLCOM since October 2022. Prior to that, they founded and served as the Managing Director of Virago Active Ltd starting from September 2019.

Lara also held the position of Commercial Director Watersports at Decathlon Australia from June 2021 to October 2022. Before that, they worked at BIG W as a Category Analyst Manager from August 2017 to November 2019.

In addition, Lara has experience as a Category Manager in the Home & Lifestyle department at Woolworths Group from June 2016 to October 2017. Before joining Woolworths Group, they worked as a Product Marketing & Business Development professional at frank green from September 2015 to April 2016.

Furthermore, Lara served as a Product Manager for Timberland at VF Corporation from May 2013 to August 2015. Lara also gained experience as an Assistant Merchandise & Buying Manager at Bally from June 2011 to April 2013.

Lara began their career with an internship at Louis Vuitton GmbH, where they worked in Product Marketing and Management from August 2010 to March 2011. Prior to that, they had an internship in HR-Marketing and Recruiting at PwC from August 2009 to November 2009.

Lara Schilken attended Justus Liebig University Giessen from 2006 to 2010 where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. In 2019, they enrolled in CBD College Sydney and completed a Certification IV in Training & Assessment, focusing on Workforce Development and Training. Additionally, that same year they also participated in an Agile Bootcamp at General Assembly Australia, specializing in Agile Project Management.
