Ulrich Schäferlein

Ulrich Schäferlein has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Ulrich started their career as an intern at Airbus Helicopters, where they gained experience in reliability and fleet statistics. Ulrich then worked as a freelance programmer for Airbus Helicopters before joining the University of Stuttgart as a research assistant. At the University, they focused on their research work until 2019. In 2011, they completed their final thesis at Airbus Helicopters. From 2018, Ulrich has been working at Volocopter, starting as a Senior Engineer Aerodynamics and gradually progressing to roles such as Product Owner, Principle Engineer & Function Owner, and currently as the Head of Department - Flight Science.

Ulrich Schäferlein has a strong education background in the field of Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik. Ulrich earned a Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.-Ing.) degree from the University of Stuttgart in 2012. Later, they pursued further studies and successfully completed a Doktor Ingenieur (Dr.-Ing.) degree from the same university in 2017. In 2022, Ulrich also obtained a certificate for Agile Leadership Principles and Practices from edX.
