Joris Van den Bossche

Joris Van den Bossche has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of software engineering and data science. Joris started their career as a PhD Researcher at Ghent University, focusing on developing methodologies for mapping urban air quality. Following that, they worked as a Contractor at Continuum Analytics, contributing to the development of open-source software and client-specific solutions for data analysis. Joris then joined Vrije Universiteit Brussel for the CurieuzeNeuzen project, a citizen science initiative aimed at mapping air pollution in Antwerp. After that, Joris worked as a Data Scientist/Research Software Engineer at Inria's Paris-Saclay Center for Data Science. In 2019, they joined Ursa Labs as a Software Engineer before eventually transitioning to their current role as a Software Engineer at Voltron Data. Throughout their career, Joris has gained expertise in Python programming and has contributed to the development and maintenance of the Pandas library.

Joris Van den Bossche pursued their education in the field of bio-science engineering and bio-ingenieurswetenschappen. From 2006 to 2009, they completed their Bachelor's degree at the University of Antwerp. Following this, Joris pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in environmental technology within the field of bio-science engineering from 2009 to 2011 at Ghent University.
