Niranda Perera

Niranda Perera's work experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Voltron Data starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Researcher Phd Candidate at Indiana University Bloomington from 2018 to 2023. Niranda also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Voltron Data from May 2021 to August 2021. Niranda has experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Moratuwa from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, they held various roles at Moraspirit Initiative from 2011 to 2018, including Executive Committee Member, Chief Corporate Officer, and Article Writer. Niranda worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at WSO2 from 2014 to 2016, where they were primarily responsible for replacing the Apache Hadoop and Hive analytic engine with Apache Spark. Niranda also worked as a Student Development Lecturer at Achievers Lanka Business School in 2013, an Associate Research Engineer at Zone24x7 in 2012, and an Assistant Project Manager at SL2College from 2011 to 2012. Niranda participated in the MAS Deutsche Bank Dialog Axiata Summer Internship Program in 2012 as a Summer Intern.

Niranda Perera began their education in 1995 at Nalanda College Colombo, where they completed their High School education with a focus on Physical Science in 2008. Niranda then went on to attend the University of Moratuwa from 2009 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's Degree in BSc Eng (Hons) Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering.

In 2013, Perera obtained a certification in the Investment Analyst Training Program from Amba Research. Additionally, they pursued further education in management accounting. Niranda completed the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting and also obtained certifications in the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting and Certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA-UK).

Perera continued their academic pursuits at Indiana University Bloomington from 2018 to 2022. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science in Intelligent Systems Engineering. Niranda further advanced their education at the same institution, completing their Doctor of Philosophy in Intelligent Systems Engineering in 2023.
