Katie Lynch-Butcher

Katie Lynch-Butcher has a strong background in the legal sector, specializing in the energy industry. Katie recently joined Voltyx as their General Counsel, where they oversee the legal and risk management department. In this role, they provide guidance and support to the executive team on a range of legal matters, including contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, and environmental law.

Prior to joining Voltyx, Katie worked as an Attorney at MidAmerican Energy Company from December 2018 to November 2022. Before that, they served as an Assistant General Counsel at the Iowa Department of Commerce, Utilities Division from March 2017 to December 2018. Katie also gained experience as a Legal Clerk at both the Iowa Department of Commerce, Utilities Division from December 2015 to December 2016, and Iowa Title Guaranty from April 2015 to December 2015.
