J. Jane C. has a strong background in human resources and administration. From 2003 to 2006, they worked at Volunteers of America as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, where they provided HR expertise to 33 affiliates and managed benefits plans, retirement plans, and a national purchasing plan. Prior to that, they were the Director of Benefits and Compensation at the same organization, where they redesigned and managed the total compensation offering for employees. From 1986 to 2003, they held various positions at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, including Vice President of Administration and Human Resources. In this role, they oversaw HR, training and development, litigation and contracts, group purchasing, and risk management. J. Jane was also involved in strategic planning and developed an innovative incentive pay model.

From 1978 to 1980, they attended Colegio Internacional de Caracas, where they completed high school.

Between 1980 and 1984, J. Jane C. pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History, Architecture, and Literature at Marlboro College.

J. Jane then proceeded to Indiana State University, where they earned their Masters of Science degree in Human Resources Development. This academic journey took place from 2003 to 2008.

In 2008, J. Jane C. attended the University of Notre Dame for a one-year program that awarded their an Executive Development Certificate in Civic Sector Leadership.

J. Jane obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in 2002. In 2006, they received the Myers Briggs Type Indicator certification from OKA (Otto Kroeger Associates). In 2011, J. Jane C. obtained an Emotional Intelligence Administrator certification from the same institution. Additionally, they acquired the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in 2015.

Lastly, in the year 2023, they are planning to attend the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management's Keymakers Executive Summit to advance their leadership skills.
