Mehdi Ferhan

Mehdi Ferhan currently serves as SVP of Powertrain Engineering at Volvo Group, having started in June 2024. Previously, Mehdi was the Managing Director for Zero Emission Commercial Vehicles at HYVIA from January 2022 to June 2024, overseeing various operational aspects including R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing. Other notable roles include Vice President of Engineering, Innovation, and Partnerships at Plastic Omnium, and member of the supervisory board at Société des Ingénieurs de l'Automobile. Mehdi has a strong background in automotive innovation, powertrain development, and strategic partnerships, with extensive experience across global markets, and holds multiple advanced degrees including an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering.
