Lutz Stiegler is an experienced automotive professional currently serving as the Head of Architecture Strategy at Volvo Cars since October 2025. Previously, Stiegler held the position of Chief Technical Officer at Polestar from December 2023 to November 2025. Stiegler's tenure at Volvo Cars included roles such as Solution Manager for Electric Propulsion and Senior Director for Powertrain Controls and Calibration, where significant contributions were made towards the development of electrified powertrains. Prior to Volvo, Stiegler spent nearly two decades at IAV GmbH, culminating as Executive Vice President of Development Powertrain, overseeing powertrain engineering across multiple international teams. Stiegler holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft, Zwickau.
