Paz Martinez

Paz Martinez has a wealth of experience in the finance and accounting field. Paz began their career in 2002 with an internship at Repsol, S.A. in the Monitoring and Analysis Department. Paz then worked at Deloitte as a Financial Analyst from 2005 to 2005. From 2005 to 2016, they worked at PwC as a Financial Audit Senior Manager, where they developed expertise in analyzing financial information for accuracy and completeness. In 2016, they began working at UC Berkeley in the Global Business Management IDP, where they gained marketable job skills and knowledge in Management Accounting, International Economics & Finance, Key Economic Indicators & Financial Ratios, Business Negotiation, Marketing Strategies and Global Supply Chain Management. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Nektar Therapeutics as a Finance Accounting Manager. During this time, they were responsible for financial reporting closing, clinical budget/forecast activity, and clinical trial expense and accrual calculations. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Hotelbeds as an FP&A Manager | Financial Controller, where they were responsible for leading the financial, forecast and budgeting process through financial modeling and delivering analysis on business performance KPIs for business decision making to Senior Management. Most recently, they have worked at Voovio Technologies as the Head of Finance since 2020.

Paz Martinez completed a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid between 1998 and 2004. In 2016, they obtained a Master in Global Business Management from the University of California, Berkeley.
