Michael Pinaud

Michael Pinaud has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Michael is currently working at Vor Bio as the Vice President and Head of GMP Operations, a role they began in February 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Clinical MSAT and Tech Transfer at Vor Bio from July 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining Vor Bio, Michael worked at Cognate BioServices as the Executive Director of Manufacturing and Operations. In this role, they oversaw operations for Cell and Gene Therapy and was responsible for facilities, manufacturing, program management, supply chain, and MS&T groups. Michael held this position from April 2019 to July 2021. Additionally, they served as the Plant Manager at Cognate BioServices from January 2018 to March 2019.

Michael has also worked at various other companies in the industry. Michael was the Director of Manufacturing at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from an unspecified time in 2015 until December 2017, where they managed all GMP commercial and clinical manufacturing operational matters. Prior to that, they held positions at Synageva BioPharma Corp as the Director of Upstream Manufacturing from January 2015 to June 2015, and as the Associate Director of Upstream Manufacturing from an unspecified time in 2013 to 2014.

In addition to their experience in the biotech and pharma sectors, Michael has also worked in operations management roles at Johnson Controls as an Operations Manager - Hard Services from March 2013 to October 2013, and at Charles River Labs as a Production Manager from March 2009 to March 2013. Michael also held the position of Supervisor, Group Leader, and Surgeon at Charles River Labs from October 2001 to February 2005, and was the Biosecurity Manager at Avian Products and Services from February 2005 to March 2009.

Michael began their career as a Night Auditor at American Ski Company from January 2001 to April 2001. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in manufacturing operations, facilities management, supply chain, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Michael Pinaud obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology Technology from the University of New Hampshire, where they attended from 1996 to 2000. Michael furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration at Worcester Polytechnic Institute between the years 2004 and 2008.
