Vincent Rafter's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Vincent started their career in 2006 as an IT Engineer at the University of Limerick, where they gained experience in server backup, help documentation, desktop support, web administration, and more. In 2008, they worked as a Helpdesk Technician at Trinity College Dublin. In 2009, they joined BT Ireland as a Telecoms Technician, where they were responsible for on-site technical support for a financial services call center and administration of Avaya suite products. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Cisco Systems as a Network Consulting Engineer, leading sub-teams and advising customers on best practices for Cisco HCS solutions. Since 2014, they have been working at VOSS as a Technical Solutions Architect, focusing on implementing VOSS and Cisco HCS projects and providing technical support to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, they served as the Communication and Finance Lead at the Irish Burning Man CORE Group from 2011 to 2012.

Vincent Rafter attended the University of Limerick from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained an Honours degree in Computer Engineering. Throughout their career, they also acquired several additional certifications from various institutions. In 2011, they received the Cisco Certified Design Associate and Cisco Certified Networking Professional certifications from Cisco Systems. The following year, in 2012, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate - Voice certification. In 2013, Vincent gained the VMware Certified Professional certification. More recently, in 2021, they obtained the Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft. In 2023, they further obtained the MS-720: Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer and Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert certifications from Microsoft as well.
