Sam Prohaska

Sam Prohaska has a strong background in data infrastructure and analytics. They currently work at Vouch Insurance as a Lead Software Engineer, focusing on data infrastructure. Prior to that, they worked at Anvyl as a Senior Analytics Engineer, where they built and managed data pipelines and event models. They also optimized dbt DAG performance and managed team communication. Before that, they were a Senior Data Science Lead at Sling TV, where they developed a content recommendation system and managed a team. Their earlier experience includes working as an Information & Systems Manager at Marnita's Table, where they developed data analysis workflows and maintained IT systems.

Sam Prohaska studied a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics, Philosophy, with a minor in French at the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Sam undertook French Studies, Economics, and Philosophy at the Université de Montréal. Sam also obtained certifications in SQL Fundamentals at DataCamp in 2019 and a DELF - B2 certification from the Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP) in 2016.
