Lissa Soep

Lissa Soep is a seasoned audio storyteller and educator with extensive experience in multimedia journalism and youth media education. Currently serving as Senior Editor for Audio at Vox Media, LLC since June 2020, Soep provides editorial leadership for a diverse range of audio projects. Previously, Soep held various senior roles at YR Media, including Senior Scholar-in-Residence and Special Projects Producer, where work focused on youth issues through an equity lens. Soep's career also includes founding the Innovation Lab and YR Interactive at YR Media, leading initiatives that bridge journalism and technology for youth empowerment. Academically, Soep earned a PhD in Education from Stanford University and has lectured at prominent institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley.
