Responsibilities:

  • A2P/P2P SMS traffic management and monitoring (Firewall rules management)

  • Develop new rules and algorithms for traffic filtering

  • Detecting and blocking gray route leakages (off/on-net and international)

  • Regularly analyze potential ways of traversing the customized traffic filtering rules.

  • Traffic analysis and regular report generation for senior management and partners.

  • Participate in preparing, presenting, testing, and implementing new systems and VAS (Firewall system installation and solution integrations)

  • Ensuring overall system health which includes VMs, Databases and physical servers.

  • Monitoring, diagnosing anomalies, and troubleshooting VAS (value-added services)

  • Take measures aimed at increasing the reliability of service platforms and improving the quality of services provided to MNOs.

  • Troubleshoot problems related to security risks

  • Designing and efficiently applying safety policies to projects

  • Make changes to the service platform settings according to the test results and requests of MNOs and control such changes’ impact on the quality of the provided services.

Screening questions/profile:

  • Good to have 2+ years as an Engineer in a Telecom Operator/Vendor.

  • Hands-on experience with SMS Firewall will be a strong advantage.

  • Skills in working with monitoring systems of telecommunication equipment and network infrastructure.

  • Linux skills - would be a plus

  • Knowledge of SS7 (MTP, SCCP, TCAP, MAP), SMPP - would be a plus

  • Knowledge of SIGTRAN (M2PA-M3UA-SCTP stack) - would be a plus

  • A knowledge of REGEX - would be a plus.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage project delivery.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Details about the role:

  • This position requires working shifts and weekends, with a standard working week of two consecutive days off, sometimes excluding Sundays and Saturdays.
  • The fixed monthly retainer includes Compensation for working on nights, weekends, and legal days off, with double pay provided only for worked legal days off.
  • The monthly performance bonus will be activated and applicable after the completion of the probation period, which is three months. Therefore, it will not be applicable during the initial three months of employment.
  • The signing bonus for equipment will be included in the offer and agreement. If either party notifies the other party of agreement termination within the initial 18 months from the effective date, the consultant will be obligated to repay the full amount of the signing bonus received. The company reserves the right to offset the value of the signing bonus from the consultant's final retainer fee and settle any remaining balance, if applicable.
