Michon Sloley

Michon Sloley has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Beginning in 2011, Sloley worked as a Research Intern at the Institute for Security Studies, focusing on security privatization in Africa and attending conferences and seminars on human security. In 2012, Sloley joined the U.S. Government as a Political Analyst, monitoring media and developing news alerts. From 2013 to 2016, Sloley worked at the U.S. Department of State as the Social Media & Content Manager, connecting policymakers and experts with media in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2017, Sloley transitioned to the private sector and joined GE as a Market Risk Analyst, providing political risk analysis and investigating potential partners. From 2018 to 2020, Sloley worked as a Compliance Analyst at GE, advising on risk assessments and developing risk mitigation plans. In 2021, Sloley joined VoxCroft Analytics as a Risk Analyst before being promoted to Operations Manager - Analysis and Intelligence in the same year. Sloley then progressed to the role of Senior Operations Manager, managing large projects and coordinating various teams and contractors. Currently, Sloley holds the position of Head of Product Operations at VoxCroft Analytics.

Michon Sloley attended St. Catherine's High School from 1996 to 2004 and obtained a Matric Certificate. Later, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies at Stellenbosch University. In 2009 to 2010, Michon continued their education at Stellenbosch University, earning a BA (Honours) degree in Sociology.
