Usman Hameedi

Usman Hameedi has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Usman started their career as a Research Technician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2012, where they worked in the Cancer Biology and Genetics department until 2015.

In 2016, Usman joined the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a Research Technician-Lead in the Department of Cancer Immunology and Virology. Usman held this position until 2017.

Usman then moved on to Syros Pharmaceuticals in 2017, where they worked as a Research Associate in the R&D Biology Team until 2018.

Currently, Usman is working at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. and has held various positions since joining in 2018. Usman started as a Research Associate Contractor from April 2018 to September 2018. Usman then progressed to the position of a Senior Research Associate I from September 2018 to October 2019. Subsequently, they were promoted to the role of a Senior Research Associate I, Team Lead from October 2019 to February 2021. Following this, they served as a Senior Research Associate II, Team Lead from February 2021 to July 2022. Currently, Usman holds the position of a Principal Research Associate, Team Lead at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. since July 2022.

Usman Hameedi, MS, obtained their Master's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry, Public Health, and Creative Writing at Brandeis University from 2008 to 2012.
