Stephen Hendrix

Stephen Hendrix has a diverse work experience spanning from teaching fourth grade to working as a Senior Software Developer at VShift. In their most recent role at VShift, they contributed to cross-project, company-wide architecture and design, improving methodologies, standards, and best practices. Previously, they worked as a Software Engineer at iHeartMedia where they led technical planning meetings, developed and maintained reusable web components written in React and Typescript, and established best engineering practices and implementation patterns. Beyond software engineering, Stephen has also worked as a Full-Stack Development Tutor at Trilogy Education and as an Education Instructor at the Dallas Zoo.

Stephen Hendrix has a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, which they obtained between 2011 and 2015 from St. John's College. In 2015, they pursued Post-Undergraduate Study in Biology, General from the University of Houston. In 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Full-Stack Web Development from Southern Methodist University. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: AWS Certified Developer \u2013 Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2022, and EC-6 Teaching Certificate from Texas Education Agency in June 2019.
