VTG AG is a Germany-based company that operates as a wagon hire and rail logistics company. The Company operates through three divisions: Railcar, Rail Logistics, and Tank Container Logistics. The Railcar division hires a range of rail freight cars for its customers, provides management, technical support services to wagon fleets and produces tank wagons. The Rail Logistics division offers rail-related logistics solutions including the transportation of mineral oil and chemical products as well as general cargo, among others. This division also provides tracking, tracing and transport management. The Tank Container Logistics division offers transport and logistics services with tank containers, as well as leases tank containers. This division principally transports liquid and temperature-controlled products of the chemical, petroleum, and compressed gas industries.

The current executive team at VTG AG has a long history with the company. The CEO, Managing Director, and Head of Marketing Wagon Hire all have previous experience working for VTG AG in various positions. The Manager Cluster Nordic is new to the company, but has experience working in a similar role for another company. All of the executives have a background in transport and logistics engineering, with the CEO also having a degree in modern languages from the University of Oxford.
